Virtual staging for designers — faster client revisions
The problem
Every client tweak is another hour in Lumion. Mood boards are faster but less convincing.
What we do for interior designers
Instant photo-real restyles. Show the client three variations in the time it takes to render one.
The numbers interior designers care about
The workflow for interior designers
- Shoot the client's actual room on the first site visit — avoid the model-render bias by starting from reality.
- Generate 3 style directions during the initial consultation. Discussing on images of THEIR room kills 80% of 'but my space is different' objections.
- Once the client picks a direction, use the AI image as the style reference, then build out the full deliverable (floor plans, spec sheets, vendor lists) on top.
- For revision rounds, re-upload the latest install photo and generate alternatives for the specific corner the client isn't happy about.
- Price the AI mockup phase into your fixed-fee design package — it saves you Lumion hours and justifies a higher rate.
A real example
A boutique designer in LA servicing 8-10 high-end clients quarterly cut her presentation prep from 6 hours to 45 minutes per project. She kept her rate the same, presented 4 concepts instead of 2, and her signing rate went from 55% to 80% because clients could see their own rooms in each style, not generic Pinterest mood boards.

What interior designers usually ask us first
Will clients think I'm cutting corners by using AI?
The opposite — clients assume AI-first tools mean you're modern and efficient. Frame it: 'I use AI to rapidly test directions on your actual room, then build the real design on top of the winner.' That's a feature, not a confession.
Can I white-label the outputs?
Agency tier (V1, coming soon) includes branded watermarks and no AI-virtual-staging.app logo. For now, Pro tier outputs are clean — crop or brand as you need.
Does it replace real CAD / Lumion for construction drawings?
No. AI staging is for concept, direction, and client buy-in. You still need CAD for floor plans, electrical, and construction docs. Use AI for the front-end creative conversation, CAD for the back-end deliverable.
